RE:Hilarious!!! - 8:52PM on 2/26/2011
This show is great! The actors are talented, the songs are good and the whole show is very funny. Irreverent, of course, but the Mormon stuff is pretty much factual Mormon ideas and traditions which are, sorry to say, pretty funny on their own. I did not expect the African angle, but it only adds to the humor. The show even has a message of sorts. I plan to see it again.....

High energy and irreverent GREAT musical! - 4:15PM on 3/03/2011
I went expecting to see something different but was surprised at what a solid traditional piece of musical theatre this is. The content is very edgy they really dont have to milk the Mormon laughs -- this is out there stuff but its based in reality. The shows creators manage to make you care about the missionaries and the African villagers while you witness some high energy musical numbers with singing and tap dancing. The audience was right there with the actors and very vocal in a good way -- I loved the experience. The show is perfectly cast and acted. I plan to see it again.

The Book of Mormon - 12:42PM on 3/05/2011
This show is a lol crowd pleaser. There is a warm plot, plenty of talented song and dance and great humor. As others have said, the subject is treated factually and in the end there is a supportive message communicated. I would see it again. This is adult only show because of the joke content - like South Park but with great songs and very talented cast.

I am smiling..and it's 2 hours later - 12:11AM on 3/11/2011
I just saw a preview performance of "The Book of Mormon", and Im thrilled to have seen it. This is one of my favorites from the last 2-3 years. Fun. Original. Inventive. Different. Creative. Fabulously executed. This and "Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson" are probably my favorites of the last two years. "The Book of Mormon" has a terrific, energetic cast, irreverent, heretical, hysterical, smart, and heady songs and music, and amazing energy. There was no doubt that I was going to be standing in an ovation at the end of the show, and without hesitation, as expected, the audience enthusiastically rose to their feet, clapping and happy, at the end of this terrific show. GO!!
