It sounds like the film collaborators, including John Logan, have been respectful of "Sweeney" yet made sure it works as a film. The previews also look and sound amazing - I hope it wins every award in Hollywood and abroad!

I saw Sweeney Todd in previews, when ALL the songs were still in it. Like John Logan, I felt it was one of those life-changing theatrical experiences you never forget. It looks like a film worthy of this classic musical has been made. Very exciting.
